For decades, the army has recruited "physically fit" young men, aged between 21 to 30, to carry out military service. Many young men pray they are not picked -- because no one knows what their fate will be once drafted. Many drafted young men end up in jobs that convince us that compulsory recruitment is not necessary. Think about those young men who have to break off work and school engagements to take up service for two years.
